As early as the 1950’s, certain Jewish pre-schools in England and the United States began incorporating Montessori methods and materials into their classrooms. Over the years, these pioneering teachers began developing Hebrew Language materials for use in Montessori-inspired classrooms, but they were still very much on their own. Today, there are hundreds of Jewish Schools around the world that have embraced the Montessori Method and now for the first time TES is proud to make these superior tools available to your school or family. 

All materials were designed by Dini Freundlich, who is both a Certified Montessori Educator and Licensed Traditional Teacher. Over the past five years, she has tested these and similar materials with her students and has had wonderful results. Our products are designed specifically for a Jewish Montessori classroom, however all of our educational materials can be seamlessly incorporated into a traditional classroom, Junior Congregation, or home-school setting.

The Hebrew language, Our tried and tested materials have had tremendous success in teaching children Hebrew letter recognition, reading, writing,and vocabulary. 

Sandpaper Alef-Bet - For many years, the Sandpaper Letters have been the foundation of the rich Montessori language program. It is therefore with great pleasure that we offer this highly successful educational tool in Hebrew. The tactile Hebrew letters are made of sandpaper mounted on smooth colored wood squares. As with all our Hebrew language materials, letters are in blue, final letters are in red. Does not include wood box. Comes in cardboard box.
